Why Craic Den Comedy Club is One of Dublin’s Best Nights Out
The Best Stand-Up Comedy in Dublin — Seven Nights a Week
At Craic Den Comedy Club we bring together the biggest names in Irish comedy alongside the best up-and-coming acts on the circuit.
Our comedians regularly appear on Virgin Media Television, RTÉ, BBC, Netflix and major comedy festivals across Ireland and the UK.
More Than Just a Comedy Club
Founded in 2019, The Craic Den has grown into one of Ireland’s busiest comedy clubs, producing live stand-up shows seven nights a week in Dublin city centre. We’ve also produced two television comedy series for Virgin Media Television, helping showcase Irish stand-up comedy to audiences nationwide.
Nothing compares to experiencing comedy live. The atmosphere, spontaneity and crowd interaction are what make stand-up comedy special — and that’s something you can only truly experience in a live comedy club.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before visiting The Craic Den Comedy Club.
Tickets & Entry
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance or can I get them on the door?
While tickets may sometimes be available on the door, we strongly recommend booking in advance as many shows sell out ahead of time — especially at weekends.
The show on the website is sold out. Can I still get tickets on the door?
Possibly. We operate a returns and no-show policy, meaning some tickets may become available shortly after the show begins if ticket holders have not arrived.
We recommend arriving before doors open and speaking to a member of staff to put your name down for any returned tickets.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before showtime, particularly for busy weekend shows.
Seating is unreserved, so arriving early gives you the best chance of sitting together and choosing your preferred seats.
I’m running late for the show — will I still get in?
Latecomers are generally permitted entry once the show has started. However, for busy shows you may need to sit separately from your group or stand at the back of the room.
Please note that tickets may be resold approximately 10 minutes into the show if ticket holders have not arrived. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend arriving before showtime.
Can I get a refund on my tickets?
Tickets can be refunded up to 24 hours before the show.
Ticket exchanges for alternative shows may also be accommodated at the discretion of management.
Seating & Groups
I’m coming with a group — can we reserve seats?
All seating is unallocated.
We recommend larger groups arrive at least 30 minutes before the show begins to ensure the best chance of sitting together.
Does my ticket guarantee me a seat?
Our venue operates with a mixture of unreserved seating and standing room.
We recommend arriving for doors opening time if you would like to secure a seat.
Do you offer group discounts?
Please email events@craicdencomedyclub.com to enquire about group discounts or any special requirements for your party.
Do you accept stag and hen parties?
Yes — stag and hen parties are welcome.
Venue Information
Can I bring a bag or luggage to a show?
Small bags and luggage are permitted and we have limited space available to store them during the performance.
However, we do not recommend bringing large suitcases or oversized luggage to the venue.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately our current venue is not wheelchair accessible.
If you have any accessibility questions before booking, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist.
Can we bring food into the venue?
Outside food is not permitted in the venue.
However, there is an excellent BBQ restaurant located below the club which we highly recommend to customers before the show.
Are drinks available during the show?
Yes — full bar service is available throughout the night.
Is there an interval during the show?
Most shows include a short interval approximately halfway through the performance.
Is there an age restriction?
The venue has a strictly over 18's policy.
Show Etiquette
Can we heckle or talk during the performance?
No. Heckling and talking during performances are actively discouraged.
Our MCs may involve the audience during parts of the show, but disruptive behaviour can negatively affect the experience for performers and other guests.
Can I use my mobile phone during the show?
Please ensure your phone is switched off or at least set to silent during the performance.
If you need to take a call, please leave the room before answering.
Photography is permitted, however video or audio recording of performances is strictly prohibited without permission from the club or performers.
We also ask guests to avoid texting during the show as illuminated screens can be distracting for those around you.
