CRAIC DEN COMEDY COURSE
We are delighted to announce our new 10 week stand-up comedy course! Are you ready to bring your sense of humour to the next level? Join The Craic Den’s stand-up comedy course and learn the art of making people laugh!
This course is designed to help you develop your own comedic style and improve your delivery, whether you’re already doing stand-up comedy or you’re a complete beginner in the world of comedy.
You might even be someone who just wants to have more of a laugh in their daily life or turn your hand at a funny after-dinner speech — then this course is for you too.
The course runs on Wednesday evenings in Workmans Club and runs for ten weeks. More info will be given by email.
On week nine you’ll be ready for your live performance on stage at The Craic Den Comedy Club.
International award-winning comedian Aideen McQueen will be the main tutor for the duration of the course.
There will also be guest tutorials from the fantastic Damo Clark and the hilarious Eddie Mullarkey.
Over the course of 10 weeks, you’ll learn the fundamentals of comedy:
- Joke writing
- Timing
- Stage presence
- Improvisation
- Crowd work
- Comedic storytelling
- Topical humour
You’ll have the chance to explore your own onstage persona and comedic style.
Most importantly, you’ll also have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at The Craic Den Comedy Club and receive feedback from your peers and instructors.
By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a solid understanding of what makes people laugh and the confidence to deliver your own unique brand of humour on stage.
You’ll also receive course notes which you can continue using as you build and progress in your comedy career.
