Two regulars of the Craic Den are bringing solo shows to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and beyond and they’ll be performing their previews for you!

Eddie Mullarkey – An Irish Roast

After a fantastic sold out Edinburgh Fringe run last year, Eddie Mullarkey brings you a new, frank, cutting and very funny hour of observations and adventures. Weaving crowd work with meandering stories, follow Mullarkey as he explores his relationship with his mother tongue (Irish), his mother’s latest conspiracy theories, elderly rural German perverts, his newly found Irish-American family, and his ongoing troubles with ADHD. ‘Mullarkey certainly knows how to work a crowd’ (ThreeWeeks). ‘The skill of an old pro’ (Student).

Aideen McQueen – Dating Queen 

 Acclaimed Irish comedian Aideen McQueen takes the stage in her side-splitting comedy show where she gives insight into the world of daring with  razor-sharp wit and irresistible charm, Aideen regales the audience with uproarious tales of her dating escapades and the hilarious mishaps she’s encountered along the way.

In this one-woman extravaganza, Aideen delves into the rollercoaster world of modern romance, offering a fresh and hilarious perspective on the dating experiences of a woman who truly has “done it all.” From disastrous blind dates to awkward encounters with exes, she fearlessly explores the highs, lows, and downright absurd moments that make up the turbulent landscape of love.

Aideen McQueen’s infectious energy fills the room as she paints vivid and relatable portraits of her own romantic misadventures. Her clever observations and uproarious storytelling skills allow audiences to join her on a wild ride through the trials and tribulations of finding love in the modern era. Whether she’s recounting an outrageous encounter on a dating app or sharing hilarious anecdotes about the pitfalls of online dating, Aideen’s comedic timing and natural charisma keep the laughter flowing throughout the show.

Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.

Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.

She has performed at many festivals including The Vodafone Comedy Festival, The Electric Picnic Festival and Prague Comedy Festival. 

 

Each show will be 40-45 minutes in length and there will be a break in the middle.

* Please arrive before the show start time (8:30pm). Late arrivals may have to stand up the back or be refused entry.

** Refund Policy: refunds will be granted up until the day of the event. Refunds will not be given if applied for on the day of the event (Unless otherwise stated) however can be swapped for another date if permitted.
