Comedy legends take to the stage in this exciting showcase from Dublin’s Craic Den Comedy Club. This event will be filmed for T.V. and broadcast later in the year.

The line ups stacked with Ireland’s top comedians:

Andrew Maxwell

As seen on Live At The Apollo (BBC One), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Celebrity Juice (ITV2) and Mock The Week (BBC Two). He is also the voice of Get Your Tats Out: Kavos Inc (Channel 5).

Throughout his career, Andrew has enjoyed many sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; he has also performed at The Amnesty / Channel Four’s Secret Policeman’s Ball (alongside Eddie Izzard, Chevy Chase and Dylan Moran), Glastonbury, The HBO US Comedy & Arts Festival in Las Vegas (alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock), and made several appearances at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. He was the special guest of friend Jim Jefferies for his Hammersmith Apollo dates in London. He is also a founder member of Altitude Comedy Festival, staged in the Alps. Andrew has recorded three Live DVDs with 2Entertain (Conflict Revolution, Andrew Maxwell: Live In Dublin & Andrew Maxwell: One Inch Punch).

Maxwell also went viral recently talking about the Irish Border and Brexit stating, “Number one, it’s not the Irish border, it’s the British border in Ireland. The Irish border is the beach,” this was watched by over 200million people worldwide and had over 250,000 comments.

“…a master-class in mirth. Sublime timing, relaxed delivery style, killer punch-lines: the holy trinity of stand-up are all present and correct. Go see a craftsman at work”  HERALD ★★★★★

John Colleary

As well as performing live, John has also co written and starred in IFTA nominated shows, The Savage Eye (RTE2) and Irish Pictoral Weekly (RTE1).

A talented actor and mimic, John recently featured as team captain on comedy panel show Hey Ho Let’s Go! (RTE2).

Colleary has also scooped a PPI award for satirical writing and performance on TodayFM’s drivetime flagship, The Last Word.

Touring now as Tommy Tiernan’s support act, John Colleary is definitely one to watch.

Sharon Mannion

Sharon is an actor, comedian and writer best known for her role as ‘Concepta’ in the RTE 2 hit comedy, ‘Bridget & Eamon’ and for her work on ‘Republic of Telly’, as regular roving news reporter and one half of popular duo ‘The Receptionists’.

She is currently touring nationwide with her self-penned one-woman show ‘The Curse of the Button Accordion”. she also performs improvised comedy weekly with The Dublin Comedy Improv, at the International Bar, Dublin.

“Full of humour, warmth, and heart.” The Reviews Hub

Karl Spain

Karl Spain has long been established as one of Ireland’s most popular comedians, from his own tours and touring with others, and has appeared at festivals all over the world. Karl has worked with some of the world’s greatest comedians ( his peers ahem, cough).

Karl has spent most of 2022 touring with Kevin Bridges because Kevin finds him very funny – or because Kevin uses Karl to remind him to keep the weight off. Hopefully the former.

Karl has written for lots of comedians over the last decade or so, so you have been laughing at his jokes even when you didn’t realise it. But he has kept all the best jokes for himself.

“His quick wit will leave you gasping” – Evening Standard

“The audience were in the palm of his hand” – Metro

Chris Kent

Hailing from ‘The Rebel County’ (That’s Cork for anyone outside Ireland), Chris gave up the day job as an electrician to pursue his calling in comedy. He emerged onto the Irish comedy scene in 2009 after winning the Bulmers Nuttin’ But Funny competition.

He quickly established himself on the Irish circuit and became sought out to open for some of his favourite acts, including Dylan Moran, David O’ Doherty, PJ Gallagher, Neil Delamare, Jim Gaffigan and Bill Burr to name but a few.

Since then Chris has been a staple favourite in Ireland’s biggest festivals such as Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens, Kilkenny Cats Laughs, Galway Comedy Festival and Electric Picnic.

‘Breathes new life into anecdotal comedy’ The List, ★★★★

‘Original, hilarious material, Among the best acts I’ve seen’ ★★★★★ The Mirror

Gearoid Farrelly

Gearóid Farrelly’s comedy career got off to a flying start when in the space of a few short weeks he was a finalist in the prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny?” competition at the Edinburgh Festival and winner of Bulmers Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomer competition at the Bulmers festival in Dublin.

He recently toured the UK as a support act for Sarah Millican and here in Ireland for Joanne McNally. His own tour ‘Glamour Hammer’ has been selling out dates all over the country and another Vicar St has just been added.

To be in Farrelly’s crowd is a joy. Each joke landed perfectly… impeccable comic timing” ★★★★★ Broadway Baby

“The best opening act in his price range” Joan Rivers

Hosted by Damo Clark

Aussie Damo Clark has become one of the hottest tickets in comedy clubs and festivals. Winner of the People’s Choice Award at the Edinburgh Fringe, his last solo show toured all over Ireland, the UK, Europe and Australia plus guest spots in the US.

Clark has featured in Comedy Central’s Damo Does Edinburgh, Irish TV’s Republic of Telly, I Dare Ya, Comedy Central’s Seann Walsh World and wrote and co-starred in Virgin Media’s Craic Den Comedy Club TV series.
