Craic Den Comedy Club brings the best Irish and international comedians to the stage every week in Dublin city. As seen on their acclaimed TV show on Virgin Media and millions of views on social media, The Craic Den will deliver you an abundance of laughs all evening.

Ian Coppinger

One of Ireland’s busiest comedians Ian is a regular on the world comedy circuit having played to packed houses at the Edinburgh, Melbourne, Montreal Just for Laughs, Galway, Electric Picnic, Glasgow, Dublin, Adelaide and Wellington comedy festivals. Ian is also one of a handful of acts who have been invited back year after year to perform at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival since 1995 and he has performed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Far East.

A regular on all the major stages in Ireland and the UK, Ian has also appeared as a support act for Ardal O’Hanlon on his UK tour and Pat Shortt on his Irish tour, including 7 sell out weeks in Dublin’s Vicar Street. Ian has also appeared on The Panel Live tour 2008 and in 2007 had 250,000 copies of his CD distributed in the news of the world.

A noted improviser, Ian is a co-founder of The Dublin Comedy Improv (1992), where he still performs every Monday night in Dublin’s International Bar, which is Ireland’s second-longest running comedy club. The Dublin Comedy Improv have recorded two hit radio shows for RTE radio. Ian is also a regular guest with the world famous Comedy Store Players performing alongside Paul Merton, Richard Vranch, Josie Lawrence and many members of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Ian has also toured Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Far East as Whose Line Is It Anyway? with the original performers.

Shannon Brooke

Shannon Brooke is a comedian, cabaret performer, and actor based in Brisbane, Australia.

Shannon took to comedy quickly after growing up performing theatre and clowning. She launched her career in 2018 with a sold-out cabaret comedy show titled “Grandma”. Shannon entered the stand-up comedy scene in 2020 as a result of encouragement from other comedians. In her first year of stand up, she was a semifinalist in the Queensland RAW comedy competition and a grand finalist in the Brat Pack Comedy competition.

Shannon, who is renowned for her storytelling, passion, and absurdity, will have you in stitches (or more likely, confused).

Padraig Williams

Fast becoming a familiar face on the Irish comedy scene, Williams regularly hosts and performs at Dublin’s iconic International Comedy Club. His skilled storytelling and hilarious material have earned him slots at festivals including Electric Picnic and this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his debut show ‘No Star Reviews’.

Padraig recently featured on Virgin Media’s Craic Den Comedy TV show and received rave reviews for his honest and sharp performance.

Al Porter

There aren’t many Irish comedians that are more controversial than Al Porter. The comedian, actor, pantomime star, writer and radio broadcaster shot to stardom with his hilarious and outrageous stage presence.
By the time he was 22 he sold out the infamous Dublin comedy venue Vicar Street for 3 nights, which no comedian at the time had done that young and that fast.

Porter is currently working again as a comedian after a six year hiatus following allegations of sexual assault. Speaking openly about his drink and drug fuelled 20s to press and onstage with his new sober outlook on life. His new tour show is selling out all over the country and features this week in the Craic Den for the first time.

Your host for the night:

Joe Dowlin

Cheeky Dubliner Joe Dowlin burst onto the Irish comedy scene 7 years ago. His madcap, high energy style mixed with a unique skill for storytelling made him popular in all the comedy clubs at home and abroad. Joe has been a finalist in numerous competitions, including Ireland’s Got Comedy Talent at The Laughter Lounge where he is now a regular performer.

He has also graced the stages of Electric Picnic, Galway Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, All Together Now and more festivals alongside the likes of Tommy Tiernan, PJ Gallagher, Phill Jupitus and Des Bishop.
