David McSavage
David McSavage is a self proclaimed national treasure. It has been said he is to comedy what the Abbey is to theatre. Maybe because he believes he’s more important than he is, or that the majority of the country doesn’t care about him.
But unlike the Abbey Theatre, Davids best days aren’t behind him, his intention is for you the audience member to feel “wow that was one of the funniest things Ive ever seen, it was so original, courageous, and yet very flawed. I would really like to be his friend”
A regular guest on TV and radio shows in Ireland for many years, David has also appeared at all the major comedy festivals including the Edinburgh Festival and internationally in Australia, Germany, Japan and Scandinavia. As an actor, this year he features in the film Calvary by John Michael McDonagh starring Brendan Gleeson. His other recent film roles in Traders, Gold and Our Robot Overlords.
The Savage Eye (RTÉ), has been critically acclaimed was nominated for an IFTA award for Best Entertainment Series and Best Director.
Joe Dowlin
Cheeky Dubliner Joe Dowlin burst onto the Irish comedy scene 9 years ago. His madcap, high energy style mixed with a unique skill for storytelling made him popular in all the comedy clubs at home and abroad. Joe has been a finalist in numerous competitions, including Ireland’s Got Comedy Talent at The Laughter Lounge where he is now a regular performer.
He has also graced the stages of Electric Picnic, Galway Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, All Together Now and more festivals alongside the likes of Tommy Tiernan, PJ Gallagher, Phill Jupitus and Des Bishop.
Sophia Wren
Sophia Wren burst on to the comedy scene and within her first year of performing regularly in Dublin’s Comedy Clubs, she appeared on Whelan’s main Stage for ‘Funny Women’ alongside Justine Stafford and Deirdre O’Kane, opened for top Irish acts such as Killian Sunderman, Karl Spain, Emma Doran, Peter McGann and huge international acts like Fin Taylor. Sophia won Ireland’s biggest comedy competition ‘Show me The funny’ and was a finalist at the prestigious ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ at the Edinburgh Fringe. Last summer saw Sophia perform at many Festivals including the main stage at Paddy Power Comedy Festival and the Comedy Arena at Electric Picnic. Sophia’s first solo show ‘Princess Melancholy’ enjoyed a sold-out 6 night run at Dublin Fringe Festival last September and is due to make its debut at Edinburgh Fringe 2025.
With MC:
Eddie Mullarkey
Eddie Mullarkey is a standout comic, lighting up Ireland’s top comedy clubs and festivals with his cheeky, seductive wit. He’s toured internationally, and had three years in a row of sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe (2021-2024).
As the resident MC at Dublin’s popular The Craic Den, Eddie also hosted The Craic Den Comedy TV Show on Virgin Media for two seasons.
With a mix of observational stand up, crowd work, and storytelling, every one of his shows is a unique experience.
“Skill of an old pro!”
