He is arguably best known for his acting and in particular for playing Father Damo in the Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted, appearing in the episode “The Old Grey Whistle Theft”. Rooney had a starring role as Timmy Higgins in the RTÉ television comedy Killinaskully, which ran for five series. Joe also wrote on the fourth and fifth series of Killinaskully. He currently hosts the podcast PodaRooney, on which he interviews guests who are mostly involved in the entertainment industry. Joe has performed stand-up worldwide, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Brussels, Moscow, Muscat (Oman), Manama (Bahrain) and Dubai. He has also performed at Irish festivals in Kansas City (Missouri), Milwaukee and La Crosse (Wisconsin).

Padraig Williams

Fast becoming a familiar face on the Irish comedy scene, Williams regularly hosts and performs at Dublin’s iconic International Comedy Club. His skilled storytelling and hilarious material have earned him slots at festivals including Electric Picnic and this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his debut show ‘No Star Reviews’.

Martin Angolo

Martin Angolo’s comedy is a mix of one-liners and silly observations. A regular at all the main comedy clubs all over Ireland and the UK, he’s one of Ireland’s best joke-writers and has written for BBC radio, TG4 and has performed on Sky TV and Virgin Media TV. Martin is an act not to be missed.

“Martin’s quickfire wit and razor sharp reactions, coupled with his boundless on-stage energy and enthusiasm, make him an act to watch out for.” Krank.ie

MC – John Spillane

Winner of the Irish Stand Up inter varsities, Spillane has performed all over Ireland and the United States, compelling audiences with his high energy and high concept style of comedy.

As a comedian he has performed in some Irelands top festivals such as the Galway Comedy Festival and the Killkenny Cat Laughs as well as some of Americas most prestigious comedy clubs like The Chicago Laugh Factory, Improv Boston, etc. He has also shared the stage with greats from both sides of the pond for instance Hannibal Burress, Joe Rooney, John Collerary and Tom Rhodes.

When he’s not on stage, John is an amateur film maker, with awards from both the 48 hours and Fan Forum film festivals.
