Dublin's Home of Stand-Up Comedy

Eddie Mullarkey kicked things off back in 2019 in a wee basement on Dame Street at The Mercantile. Craic Den Comedy Club got off to a good start running a weekly show with a mix of star headliners and up and coming talent. However 2020 came around quick and those damn Wuhan bats put a stop to the lols.

But not for long…

When the world calmed down again, we moved to a different wee basement, also on Dame street. And then finally in late 2021 we moved to The Workmans Club, which has been our home ever since. Damo Clark and Gary White joined the team shortly after and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength and are now proud to be the only 7 night a week stand up comedy club in the country.

We regularly have comedy legends grace our stage—Craig Robinson, Mark Normand, Joanne McNally, David O’Doherty, David McSavage, Deirdre O’Kane, Des Bishop, Michelle Wolf and loads more stars from both home and abroad.

And we’re not just a live club—we’ve also made two hit T.V. shows for Virgin Media and several comedy specials for YouTube, shining a light on some of Ireland’s funniest acts and giving people a taste of what we do best. Even if you’re not in Ireland, check out our YouTube page for the best in Irish Comedy.

Whether you’re out with your mates, on a date, flying solo, or dragging your cousin up from the country—we’ve something for everyone. The craic is ninety every night, and with fresh line-ups and new talent on the rise, no two shows are the same.

Your regular MCs— Eddie Mullarkey, Damo Clark, and Brian Gallagher—are gas, keeping the night moving with off-the-cuff crowd work and big laughs from start to finish.

So if you’re looking for a good night out, you’ve found it. Grab a pint, grab a seat, and let the laughs do the rest.
